This policy covers everything you post, submit or share on Teepa — gym listings, profiles, photos, event details, messages, posts. It applies to every user, on web and mobile.
You must be at least 13 to create a Teepa account. If you are under 18, some features are limited for your safety. By using Teepa you agree to follow this policy. Breaking it can lead to content removal, feature limits, suspension, or a permanent ban.
1. Never allowed
Zero tolerance. This content is removed immediately, the account may be terminated, and where the law requires it we report it to the authorities.
- Anything that sexualizes, endangers or exploits a minor. Reported to the authorities, always.
- Sharing someone's private information — home address, personal phone number, workplace — without their consent.
- Credible threats of real-world violence, or content that incites or coordinates violence against a person or group. In-sport callouts and trash talk about a bout are not this — see section 3.
- Buying, selling or promoting illegal goods, including illegal drugs, performance-enhancing drugs and weapons.
- Fraud, scams, phishing or malware — deceptive links, fake offers, or attempts to steal accounts or payment information.
2. Flagged for review
Less clear-cut, so it goes to a human and is removed if it breaks this policy. Repeated violations lead to account action.
- Targeted harassment or bullying of a specific person — repeated unwanted contact, pile-ons, abuse aimed at an individual.
- Hate speech — attacks or slurs based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation. This is the real prohibited-language line, not ordinary profanity.
- Graphic sexual content or nudity.
- Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm or suicide.
- Impersonation of a real gym, fighter, promoter, brand or person.
- Spam — repetitive, irrelevant or bulk promotional posting.
3. What is allowed, and encouraged
Teepa is a combat-sports community. Passion, competitiveness and directness are part of the culture, and we are not here to sanitise it.
- Trash talk, callouts and profanity are allowed. Saying you'll finish someone in the first round is the sport, not a violation.
- Strong opinions and heated debate are allowed — about gyms, styles, fighters and events.
The line is harm, not language. Salty language is fine. Targeting, threatening or endangering a real person is not. Profanity aimed at a person as harassment can still be removed under section 2.
4. Reporting and enforcement
- Every piece of user content can be reported. Use the report control on a post, listing, profile or message.
- Reports are reviewed by a person. We may remove content, hide or limit it, warn the user, restrict features, or suspend or terminate the account, depending on severity and history.
- We favour review over automatic blocking. Most content is not blocked as you type; it is reviewed when reported or flagged, so legitimate posts are not caught by an overzealous filter.
- We may use automated tools to help detect clearly prohibited material or spam, but a human governs enforcement decisions on judgement calls.
- Emergencies. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, then report it to us.
5. Users under 18
- Accounts are limited to users 13 and older.
- We limit features for accounts belonging to minors — including booking, check-ins, posting, promoter profiles, events, gym claims, fighter cards and any fighter matching — to reduce the risk of unsafe adult–minor contact.
- Matchmaking and bout pairing respect the age, weight and experience divisions used in amateur combat sports. Minors are never matched against adults.
6. Safety on the mat
Teepa is a directory and booking tool. The gym you attend is responsible for supervision, waivers, insurance and your safety while training. Teepa does not run gyms, classes, sessions or events, and is not responsible for what happens at them. Always follow the rules and waivers of the gym you visit.
7. Changes and contact
